Service overview
We support individuals, professionals, freelancers and businesses in Pakistan with the preparation and filing of income tax returns and related tax compliance requirements. Our approach focuses on accurate reporting, timely submission through the FBR's IRIS portal, and maintaining appropriate supporting documentation, while helping clients understand their tax obligations.
Filing your return on time is what places your name on the FBR's Active Taxpayer List (ATL). Being an active filer is not only a legal requirement; it also brings practical financial benefits. Filers generally face lower withholding tax rates than non-filers on everyday transactions such as banking, property, vehicles, dividends and investment income. Filing late can also leave you in a less favourable "late filer" category, so timing matters. We support you throughout the year with advice and guidance, so that filing is planned and not a last-minute exercise.

The most common questions
Companies, associations of persons and individuals whose income exceeds the prescribed threshold must file, along with certain others who meet conditions set out in the law. These requirements change with each Finance Act, so we confirm your position every tax year.
The ATL is the list published by the FBR of taxpayers who have filed their return on time. Being on it generally means lower withholding tax rates on many transactions.
Filers generally pay lower withholding tax on banking, property, vehicle and investment transactions. A filer also has documented income and a stronger financial profile, which helps with loans, business dealings and visa applications.
You may fall into the late filer or non-filer category and face higher withholding tax, along with possible penalties, default surcharge and FBR notices. Filing on time avoids these costs.
